Going there

An internship starts way back when you apply for it.... but let us not dwell on the past, but face the future :)
On this blog I will try to give everyone an insight into life in Kuwait and the region.
Feel free to comment...

so the first entry is about finding and finding out stuff......(still from back home...since the journey starts at the exact end of September)

  • Finding an airplane ticket can be a serious endavour. Direct flights are more expensive than inderect ones, and in order to get to Kuwait from Zürich, going through London seems very ecological and logic
  • Finding a convenient time to arrive is also a challenge, since you don't want to ask the person who picks you up the airport to have to go there at 2.30 am
  • Finding your address on Google Maps can become a further challenge, no street view does not exist everywhere yet
  • Finding out it will be in the 40's when you get there and in the 30's at night is quite nice and prolongs the summer until December
  • Finding out you will fly over Iraq is somewhat weird
  • Finding out you a liter gasoline costs about 0.25$ is a bit disturbing
  • Finding out Dubai is just around the corner is cool
